Shannon Tooley - Head Coach

Shannon grew up in Richmond, VA and moved to Raleigh two years ago to become a teacher at AB Combs Elementary. She graduated from Longwood University in Virginia. Shannon swam on a summer swim team from ages 4 until 18. She was also in competitive synchronized swimming for 4 years. Because of her love for swimming, she coached swim lessons for kids during high school and college.

Cori swam year round in Maryland from age 8 through high school. She coached at the YMCA during college (when it was CY). She also coached summer league teams in Maryland (one summer), Greensboro (2 summers), Scottish Hills in Cary for 2 years, and MacGregor Downs for 2 years. |

Jason grew up in Rocky Mount, NC and swam for his country club as well as the YMCA year round team. He went on to swim for NC State under head coach Don Easterling. Jason started coaching as an assistant at Northgreen Country Club while in high school. During the summer break in college, he earned money to help pay for his education by coaching the Tarboro Swim Club. He has always enjoyed working with kids and looks forward to his 7th year as a volunteer coach for the Barracudas. Jason is married and has two Barracudas of his own, Olivia and Wes. |

This is Hilary’s ninth summer on the Sunset Ridge Swim Team. She has been swimming with RSA for 4 years, and has been swimming on the MCHS Swim Team for 4 years as well. This is her 3rd summer coaching the Sunset Ridge team and she is looking forward to a great season.

Julia has been swimming for 10 years. She first started off with Crooked Creek swim team at the age of 4. This will be her 5th year for swimming for the Barracudas. Last year she volunteered coaching for the 6 and unders. This is her first time on the coaching staff and she is very excited to be working with the younger swimmers again. |

Rachel swam on her neighborhood swim team in South Carolina. She also swam with Sunset Ridge for five years. She was on the Middle Creek High School Swim team. She currently goes to ECU and majors in Elementary Education, with a minor in Spanish. |

Lauren has been swimming for over six years in both the summer league and year-round teams. This is her second year as an assistant coach for Sunset Ridge |

Emily has been on the Sunset Ridge Swim Team since she was 4 which makes this her 13th year. She coached last year and swam for Middle Creek High School during her freshman year. |
