Ted Reese

Ted is our General Manager and Director of Tennis. He has been involved with the club from its initial design and planning in 1991. He is a graduate of North Carolina State University in Electrical Engineering & Business Management. Ted was a member of the Men's Varsity Baseball Team, Kappa Alpha Order Social Fraternity, and the Phi Eta Sigma Academic Honor Society. 

Ted is a certified member of the United States Professional Tennis Association and attained the Professional I certification. His professional experience includes Junior Davis Cup coach, Junior Federation Cup Coach, USTA Zonal Team coach, and numerous nationally ranked, collegiate, and professional students. Ted has personally coached more than 20 players to top 100 national rankings and 2 players that stayed in the top ten for most of their junior career. Ted presently volunteers his time as NCTA Board of Director, NCTA Junior Competition Committee Chairman.  STA Junior Competition Committee member, and NCTA Strategic Planning Committee member. His charity involvement includes helping to raise over one million dollars for Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Make-A-Wish Foundation, Cary MacGregor Rotary Club, and the American Cancer Society.

Fiona Degnan

Fiona is our Tennis Professional and Director of Camps. She joined our club staff  in 2001. Fiona graduation from Saint Andrews College in Sports Medicine and played on the Women's Varsity Tennis Team.

Glen Kitner

Glen is one of our Tennis Professionals. He joined our staff in 2005. Glen graduated from Methodist College in the Professional Tennis Management program with a major in Business Administration. While at Methodist, he was two-time all-conference in singles and doubles. During his Professional Tennis Management program, Glen completed annual summer internships in Vermont, NY.

After graduation, he joined Stamford Yacht Club in Stamford Ct. as the Assistant Professional.

Glen is certified at the highest level as a Professional 1 by the United States Professional Tennis Association.

Andrew is one of our Tennis Professionals. He joined our staff in 2011. Andrew grew up in nearby Fayetteville, NC where he played junior tournaments and high school tennis.  He is a certified Tennis Professional (P1) with the United States Professional Tennis Association as well as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist with the NSCA.  Andrew played college tennis at Elon University where he graduated in spring of 2004 with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology.  Following graduation, Andrew worked as the Assistant Pro at MacGregor Downs Country Club where he taught full time for 2 years.  While teaching at MacGregor, Andrew was also a volunteer Strength and Conditioning Coach at NC State working with the Wolfpack basketball and tennis programs.  In summer of ’06 Andrew accepted a position at the Evert/IMG Academy in Boca Raton, Florida where he worked with various IMG, USTA, and WTA players.  Following his time at IMG, Andrew then worked with the International Academy of Tennis in Hilton Head Island, SC.  From the competitive academy scene, Andrew returned to teaching at the country club level.  For the past few years, Andrew has been teaching seasonally spending summers teaching in Greenwich, CT and winters at the prestigious Ocean Reef Club in Key Largo, Fl.  He ended his seasonal travels this past summer as Head Pro at the Silver Spring Country Club in Ridgefield, CT.  Andrew loves teaching players of all levels but his specialty is in giving beginners a quick start and fast paced adult clinics!

On a personal note, Andrew is an avid fisherman and loves spending time with family and friends.  He is also a Certified Instructor in the Israeli martial art of Krav Maga, which is another passion of his.  He is thrilled to be a new addition to the Sunset Ridge Team!
